Back Jack Do It Again

Big Papi where have you been all this season? What happened to all the talk before the All-Star break about Papi's HR over-under being 17??? Well consider this guy H-O-T-T! Muy Caliente.

David Ortiz decided to dust off the cape last night and send Ozzie Guillen off with a hard-on. I can't wait for Ozzie's late season killing spree of his bullpen. That wild card is looking awfully tasty right now. Plus, Tazawa is on the hill tonight in a big game. Man I love Baseball in late summer. It actually means something.

Ey Papi

Ortiz and Manny are both listed on the 2003 steroid report for using performance enhancing drugs. Surprised? NO! Shocked? A little. This sucks for any Sox fan for one reason and one reason only. Yankee fans can now toss stones at our 2004 and 2007 Championships. That sucks more than learning a legend was not quit what he claimed to be. The Sox who fought so hard in 2004 to bring the faithful what they longed for are now tainted. Granted all the MLB is tainted due to the rampant steroid era. Really is anyone off limits from this. Even the golden boys like, Ripken? Gwynn? This really opens the door for all these guys to be under the gun. As far as the Hall of Fame is concerned do these guys accomplishments get recognized? So many questions that you had hoped not to have to answer, but is anything off limits anymore. Is there anyone who won't cheat to achieve greatness? What do I tell my kids when I have them watch my idols on DVD or whatever the hell they'll invent to watch highlight tapes by then? Sad day in the nation. Not surprising, but a sad day.

So you're telling me there's a chance.

There hasn't been much to blog about the past couple of days the Sox lost their thunder the Pats got handled by their rivals the Chargers. Things seem all doom and gloom in the nation. But, then something like this happens and the voice in my head says there is still a chance the a big chance that the Sox will steal this series.

Kazmir will start Game 5
In a surprise move, Tampa Bay Rays manager Joe Maddon announced this morning that he will start Scott Kazmir in Thursday's Game 5 of the ALCS at Fenway Park. James Shields was pushed back to Game 6.

To the fans ready to jump. Act like you've been there before. I remember this same bull$shit last year with the Indians. What are we going to do they are so much younger and more athletic then the Sox they have a better staff. Blah Blah Blah. Dice K, Beckett, and Lester in the clutch. I'll take those odds. You know the Sox are taking game 5 in a big way. This team has come to far to quit now. Plus Sr. Octobre had a bit of a slump buster in his last ab if you were still watching. Time to check yourself and find out if you're a real Sox fan. Because I know I haven't quit on this team. KEEP THE FAITH!

Is this really happening?

So in a matter of a week the Sox trade their best hitter since Yaz (Ten Rule: Ted Williams) and then Ortiz feels a pop in his wrist. Add to that the fact that our two up and coming stars Ellsy and Clay can't seem to find their groove in the second half and this spells trouble. Nothing against John Lester, love the guy couldn't be rooting for him to succeed any more, but he is our best pitcher. Beckett our horse is a miesly 9-8 with a 4.15 ERA. What the F! Granted the Jason Bay thing is working thus far but I just don't see enough firepower to beat the likes of the Angles the way they are looking. The pitching staff is looking like they did in April Shaky. I mean christ Youk is leading the team in RBI's and now Lowell and Ortiz are both ailing. Things are not looking good. I'm not counting them out because anything can happen as long as they make the postseason. Right now it doesn't look very good when they are 3 back of the Rays and losing meaningful games to the Royals. The Sox can still pull a big win streak here, but time is of the essence and they need it soon. Losing Papi would be devastating. By the way can people stop trying to say Bay is better than Manny. The guy hit one monster shot and all the sudden he's Julius F'n Ceaser.
So when does the Pats Dynasty run continue/ NFL regular season start?

P.S. Loving the Jed Lowrie era it anyone else feel like we're watching Woddy Harelson in

"White Men Can't Jump"
Billy Hoyle: You are so stupid. It would take your mother 1, no. 2 hours to watch 60 MINUTES.
Sidney Deane: Don't start that shit again.
